This Portrait of the artist... has 41 pages and is
divided into 6 chapters. In it, Böhm presents
passport photos of himself that were made between 1994
and 1999, e.g. One
Eye or Four Seasons. He only uses
already existing materials.
Each page contains a passport photo and a subtitle
'Portrait of the arist...'. The large amount of photos
is a further sign for Böhm addiction to passport photos,
which can also be seen in Seven
days of Bild.
Böhm's book hasn't much in common with the book by
James Joyce beside the title, but it contains a bow
to another artist. Diether Roth titled a bust of himself
'portait of the artist as Vogelfutter'.
This book is made in an edition of 10 copies around
1999/2000 and represented in the now missing Kleine
Werkschau (little overview of works) with a passport
photo (see below).
