Inspired by a talk with Debby Rebsch the idea for
The Museum of Temporary Art is born in autumn 2000.
It is going to be part treasure chest, part golden
book, a collection of stories and a museum for small
objects. Böhm chooses from his own belongings 33 objects,
each gets his own exhibit sheet and its story is told.
The objects get the attention they deserve through
to their uniqueness.
The Museum itself, consisting of a screwbox, an information
board and a folder, is given to Debby Rebsch on October
19th, 2000, her birthday.
A virtual representation of the Museum is added in
2001. It can still be found at www.museum-of-temporary-art.com.
In September 2002 Rebsch and Böhm launching their first
invitation-campagne. Many many artists from all over
the world followed the invitations since and made the
Museum what it still is.
